Coordinate Geometry: Distance Formula
Hey friends,
Today I am here to discuss something about Distance formula which is used to calculate the distance between two points or coordinates on the co-ordinate plane.
y1: y coordinate of first point
y2: y coordinate of second point
D: Perpendicular distance between the two points.
Watch the video for solved numericals based on Distance formula.
Today I am here to discuss something about Distance formula which is used to calculate the distance between two points or coordinates on the co-ordinate plane.
Co-ordinate geometry is the study where the position of point is described using an ordered pair of numbers.
Such ordered pair looks something like (x, y), where x is the distance on x-axis of the coordinate plane & y is the distance on y-axis of the coordinate plane.
where,
x1: x coordinate of first point
x2: x coordinate of second point
y2: y coordinate of second point
D: Perpendicular distance between the two points.

I hope you will like it.
